I am a thirty-two-year-old woman who was mandated to have the vaccine by my work. I had the first Pfizer vaccine and after waking up through the night with a racing heart, I decided to go to the doctor. Luckily for me, my doctor was supportive and told me not to get the Pfizer Vaccine again. I explained my work had mandated them, and so she prescribed AstraZeneca instead. That night, I had fever, chills, numbness, tingling in my hands, pain in my legs, joint pain and fatigue that lasted a few days. I couldn’t stay awake for more than an hour. A few days passed, and I started feeling out of breath and lightheaded. I went to the doctor’s, but my doctor was not available, so I saw another doctor who checked my vitals, and I was told I’d be fine. I just got worse and worse and ended up back in the doctor’s office two more times before my doctor. She diagnosed me with costochronitis, which is inflammation mom of the chest wall caused by the vaccine. I was on anti-inflammatories for a month, and I am still getting palpitations and dizziness.
After all that, my work has since mandated the booster shot, so my doctor sent an exemption in, which was declined with an hour of her sending it. My doctor has said she will continue to fight for me and has sent a letter into the immunisation advisory centre. I am waiting for a reply.
