By Military Summary

This video describes the military situation in Ukraine on the 31st of January 2025.

Here’s what others had to say:

Uncanny how closely this conflict mirrors WW2. Now we have advancing Russians discovering the crimes committed on their own citizens. I would not want to be a Ukrainian soldier in the Kursk salient.

@Joksim_Postar

What happened to Ukraine’s game changing Leopard, Abrams and Challenger tanks?

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has accused Kiev’s Western backers of complicity in alleged atrocities committed by Ukrainian troops during their ongoing incursion into Kursk Region. Her remarks on Friday followed investigators’ previous accusations that troops have raped and murdered civilians.
Earlier this month, Russian forces discovered human remains in the liberated settlement of Russkoye Porechnoye. The Investigative Committee announced it had identified several Ukrainian soldiers as suspects, with one currently in custody. Zakharova called the images released by the investigators “impossible to watch,” and condemned the perpetrators for deliberately targeting vulnerable people.
“The world must understand who the Westerners are sponsoring and that with Western money, with these hundreds of billions of dollars and euros, the Kiev regime is committing these atrocities, which testify to its neo-Nazi nature”, Zakharova added.
“What kind of inhuman being tortures elderly civilians, beats them, injures them, and then blows them up with grenades?” she asked, referring to the forensic evidence uncovered in the village. – RT

@adwest68
Many lives of AFU servicemen offered for a little bit of defence time disgusting UA and NATO.

Russia is indispensable!
The world needs Russia for sanity, balance of power and keeping the depraved & belligerent West in check.

@meddy833
The reason the Russians are in an operational pause by Provosk is possibly to build up and move up forces before a major attack. Artillery is being moved forward for support and units are being rested and resupplied before attacking or bypassing Provosk and moving deeper to the AFU rear. This is not the time for Russia to pause for an extended period of time. It gives the AFU time to regroup, resupply and dig in. Russian MOD is not going to let that happen.

Patrick Lancaster did a poignant testimony on The Duran about what he saw in Kursk…

When your enemy seldom retreats, it is advantageous to develop cauldrons with multiple flanking moves.

@bak2back
Ukraine has ordered a batch of new tanks from France, with one forward and eight reverse gears

General Ben Hodges on Crimea in 2023:
I believe that Ukraine is going to liberate Crimea by the end of August, so the end of this summer and I say that because we know from history that war is a test of Will and it’s a test of logistics.
Clearly Ukrainian soldiers and Ukrainian people have the superior will and the logistical situation for Ukraine gets a little bit better each week whereas the Russian logistics system is frail and it was never designed to support and sustain long-term land operations outside of Russia.
FYI Hodges endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election

According to Goebbels mouthpiece the BBC: All quiet on the Eastern Front

@just_dimi3
Seems that Russia wants from the north (Kupyansk & Volchansk) to move towards Izyum and Barvenkove and from the south from Pokrovsk to move towards Dobropila in order to envelop Kramatorsk & Slovyansk

@juliokouassi5687
Zelinsky is getting day by day his submarine outfit for swimming in Sebastopol

@markopodganjek845
Ukraine got huge military aid from US & NATO. This can last long if US is not sending everything as had all the time. In few months everything will dry

@B_Ruphe
Haven’t started watching this yet, but my guess is that we will see lots of interesting updates today. Not only that, but I’ll take a wager that these updates will be not merely interesting but very interesting. Let me begin and find out what is happening in the various sectors, regions, areas, localities…. oops, I mean in the various “directions”.

Meanwhile, on the night of January 30, Russia launched another massive missile attack on military installations and energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. This time, key settlements in such Ukrainian regions as Kiev, Odessa, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, and Dnepropetrovsk were subjected to a massive missile attack. – BORZZIKMAN

@Grampagreybeard
Throughout history Rome Greece, the American Civil War WW1 WW2 To defeat a Nation one must lose 30 to 35% of its Manpower and Military, one-third of its National Productivity, and one-third of the economy. Ukraine is right on the edge of those numbers as of 2025.
