Cop-Tasered 95-Year-Old Dies After Nursing Home Incident.
The 95-year-old dementia-suffering great-grandmother who was tasered by police in her nursing home in Australia last week has died from injuries sustained after falling during the incident.
A police statement said Clare Nowland had “passed away peacefully,” while an officer was finally charged with multiple offenses, including recklessly causing grievous bodily harm and assault.
Last week, an assistant commissioner said, “At the time she was tasered, she was approaching police. It is fair to say at a slow pace. She had a walking frame. But she had a knife.”
