Mask Mandates Making a Comeback in California
By RT News
Several counties in California’s Bay Area, including Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Napa, have reinstated limited mask mandates in healthcare settings like skilled nursing facilities and hospitals, effective through spring 2025.
The measure, aimed at curbing the spread of flu and other viruses during the fall and winter, requires healthcare workers to wear masks, with Santa Clara and San Mateo counties also mandating mask use for visitors and, in Santa Clara’s case, patients.
While the mandates are limited in scope and unlikely to expand to broader areas – the mandates are a bizarre twist in political bingo for 2025.
